The 3rd Session of New Taipei City Council
New Taipei City is one of Taiwan’s special municipalities and one of the most populous administrative divisions of the country. Covering an area of 2,052 square kilometers, New Taipei City consists of 29 districts that boast a diverse and rich culture and landscape ecology.
The New Taipei City Council, whose 66 councilors are directly elected by the people, is the highest decree and policy setting body of New Taipei City. The City Council is currently in its third session since its formation. Upholding its philosophy of "diversity, communication, internationalism," the City Council “listens to the public, serves the people, oversees the City Government, and communicates pro-actively” in order to unleash the full energy of this diverse and modern city.
